Water Pressure and Leaks:
– Flush all toilets – make sure they drain and refill properly with no leaks
– Turn on all showers, make sure they all have good water pressure
– Test all taps for drips/visible leaks
Hot Water Heater:
– Be sure the hot water tank is large enough for your family,
a 40-gallon tank is generally sufficient for a family of 4.
– Verify the age of the tank. The year should be with the serial number – most last roughly 12 years.
– Visually inspect surrounding evidence of previous leaks
